We completely redefined the meaning of the Billingo brand from the ground up
The client
Billingo is a Budapest-based, innovative online invoicing and business management software that launched in 2015. Initially a small team, Billingo has grown to over 50 employees, with the goal of automating invoicing and administrative tasks for businesses. Billingo simplifies invoice creation, sending, and tracking, and offers tools for managing expenses and payments. This allows users to focus more on running and growing their businesses. Over the years, Billingo has built a large user base and continually expanded its features.
The Task
From its inception, Billingo operated in a crowded market, and as the software evolved, it added more and more features. As a result, its marketing communication and visual identity became outdated compared to newer fintech solutions. Voov's task was to reposition the Billingo brand, modernize its appearance, and create a fresher, more dynamic communication that better reflects the software's innovative solutions and growing functionality.
Our solution
The project began with comprehensive research and analysis, based on which we repositioned the Billingo brand and then refreshed the entire visual identity and communication. We redesigned the application interface, including the creation of a new Design System that ensures a consistent appearance and improves the user experience.
As part of the branding, we developed a fully updated showcase page and created a new, unified illustration and visual style for the brand. In the illustration system we designed, we defined the key characters and standardized visual elements and solutions, which help establish the brand’s cohesive identity across different platforms. This system is composed of colors, characters, and objects that convey a consistent brand image both online and offline, and it simplifies the design process, making collaboration easier for team members without a design background.
Voov Studio has been involved in Billingo's graphic and front-end development work from the beginning, including the full online and offline appearance and social media content creation. The success has been proven by the increase in user numbers and satisfaction, along with several awards, further strengthening the brand’s market position.
