Sopron Museumsquartier

The client

The Museum Quarter in Sopron's main square connects four heritage buildings: Storno House, General's House, Fabricius House, and the Fire Tower. Ten permanent exhibitions present Sopron's history from prehistory to the present, alongside interactive spaces, a café, a shop, and outdoor activities.

The challenge

The Museum Quarter needed an online presence that fits the existing brand identity and the exhibition space design. The challenge was to bring the quality of the physical experience into the digital space.

Our solution

We started with a thorough assessment of the existing brand identity and research, then developed the content strategy and site structure. We tested the user flows with wireframe prototypes. The visual design was built as a creative extension of the existing identity: the icon set was inspired by the exhibition logos and wayfinding signage, and we expanded the original colour palette to fit the needs of the online presence.
